Before moving the Central Arkansas, I truly had no idea how many people come here to elope. It is sort of a weird state and option to choose when deciding where to elope at. But, we get many people who elope here from Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and so many other places. There are alot of things that attract people to eloping in Arkansas such as the many mountains, beautiful lakes, but the most common I see are the sister glass chapels! Which is what brought Justin & Melanie to the Anthony Chapel!

These two came up from Texas to get married with 5 of their closest family in the beautiful scenery of the glass chapel in Hot Springs on a late October weekday. Their very first out-of-state date was to Garvan Gardens & Hot Springs so it was special to them to get married here. The chapel gives couples an specific time slot but then you're able to wander around the grounds for pictures.

Shooting weddings and elopements at the Anthony Chapel is one of my favorites. The chapel is intimate in size, easy to make sure I get all of the important shots, and they have a tiny little alcove to the side for me to stand in and get a few shots from behind! The gardens offer SO MUCH versatility in picture locations and all of the light leaks through the trees are just amazing. There is not a single day out of the year that the chapel is not beautiful in itself & it needs very little decor.

If you're thinking about eloping to the glass chapel in Hot Springs (or any of the others in Bella Vista or Eureka Springs!!) and want a photographer who has experience here please reach out here! Whether it's a full ceremony with a reception afterwards at somewhere like the Reserve or an intimate elopement with just you and a few friends, I would absolutely love to be a part of your special wedding day!

In the meantime please enjoy a few shots at Justin & Melanie's beautiful October elopement!
