Sweet Southern Arkansas Wedding in the Sweltering Summer Heat
The Cooks tied the knot this past weekend in south Arkansas in an intimate backyard ceremony at the brides family farm. They did not let the summer heat stop them from having the most beautiful day with their closest friends and family.
I met this couple back in the spring when they reached out about shooting their intimate ceremony, when we first chatted they were a little nervous because they wanted something simple and sweet with their closest family and friends which was right up my alley. I should have known after their stunning engagement session in downtown Hot Springs (if you haven't seen this you have to go check it out here) that their wedding was going to be dreamy. If I could only shoot intimate wedding ceremonies like theirs for the rest of my career I would be content.
From Julias stunning dress from Lows Bridal, to their amazing smoked meal that they SERVED TO THEIR GUESTS THEMSELVES, to their personal vows it was a beautiful day. I am so thankful for couples who choose me to come along and share these precious moments of their lives.
Side note: their farm was located 7 miles from the Louisiana border so naturally - I had to take a 20 minute detour to say I went to Louisiana that day lol it's just a thing. I drove down a gravel road until my maps said welcome to Louisiana, turned around and went back! But I can still say I went! Alright, enough of that. Take a scroll through this couples beautiful day
